The Fing-Longer is a glove which has an extended index finger. Professor Farnsworth had always dreamed of inventing the Fing-Longer, and used the What-If Machine to ponder what might have happened had he, in fact, invented it.
By "The Birdbot of Ice-Catraz", he had invented the Fing-Longer, where he used it as a pointer on a hologram. He later reused it in Bender's Big Score, but again as a pointer, and not for its original purpose.
In "The Duh-Vinci Code", the Professor uses a new, improved double Fing-Longer.
